I created two minimalist and refined artworks using Konto, a material that has a clean, textured finish. Each piece is made from two layers - one forming the background and the other used for the silhouette of the moose. The design features two moose heads, each with a unique expression, but both capturing the same minimalist approach.
Richard, a passionate hunter, commissioned these works for his two hunting cabins, which are located in different parts of the Finnish forests. While designing the pieces, I wanted to create something that would resonate with the quiet power and natural beauty of the landscape, while still reflecting Richard’s personal connection to hunting.
The initial inspiration came from a few minimalist moose designs I stumbled upon online. I’m grateful to those artists for their influence. However, my intention was to adapt those ideas into something that felt personal to Richard and his wife. I carefully tailored the works to match their tastes, incorporating their preferences and feedback along the way.
