This project was less about creating a new concept and more about adaptation. The existing HB Wine logo had only been used in print until now. Turning it into a three-dimensional version required thoughtful modifications and a degree of creativity. Some design elements were too thin to be supported by Konto material and had to be carefully redesigned to preserve the logo’s identity and overall composition. Another key decision involved determining which elements should stay in the background and which should be brought forward, creating a dynamic and engaging layout. Lastly, color selection required extensive testing, as the final result tends to appear slightly darker than the original tones.
We want to thank you, Virgil, for the stunning Pure Water piece that now graces the spaces of Villa Berg. The artwork is exactly what we had hoped for – its harmony and elegance blend perfectly with the atmosphere of the villa. It’s a joy to see how beautifully you brought our vision to life.

HB Wine, located in the historic Miniș-Măderat wine region of Romania, is a young yet distinguished winery founded by Horia Ban, an engineer and entrepreneur from Bihor. After discovering his passion for wine in 2008, Horia invested in the region’s viticultural heritage in 2022, acquiring 3.5 hectares of 47-year-old vineyards on a hilltop in Covăsînț. In just three months, he built a modern winery with advanced technology, including geothermal heat pumps and automated temperature control systems, ensuring optimal winemaking conditions.
Horia, alongside oenologist Clara Kardos, revived the area’s winemaking tradition, producing wines that capture the essence of the local terroir. HB Wine’s wines are known for their intensity, deep color, and distinct mineral character, thanks to the noble “Rupes Nobilis” rock layer beneath the soil. The winery’s commitment to quality has earned it international acclaim, with several prestigious awards, including four gold medals at the 2025 “Vinarium” international competition and multiple medals at the 2024 “Mundus Vini” and “Vinul.ro” contests.
HB Wine embodies a fusion of passion, tradition, and innovation, with Horia Ban viewing wine as a reflection of culture, land, and the people who craft it. Each bottle from HB Wine fosters connections and celebrates the simplicity and joy of sharing, while promoting Romanian wines on the international stage.
The complex geometry required a multi-layered design, with each layer perfectly aligned. A 3D simulation using real thicknesses made it possible to study how the shapes would appear from different angles, especially since the logo will be placed quite high up.
After building the model “dry,” we painted each part individually, following the original specifications. We used more adhesive than usual during assembly due to the outdoor exposure. For the same reason, each piece was coated with a clear, matte, water-based varnish after painting.
he installation was carried out on-site by a local team. The logo was bolted in place and reinforced to withstand wind. Thanks to this mounting system, it can be relocated if needed.
