The key material, surface peat, offers exceptional sound absorption and insulation properties depending on treatment. Durable and adaptable, it provides a renewable, recyclable, and eco-friendly alternative for creating sustainable acoustic solutions.
The production process at Konto is designed to minimize environmental impact. Waste materials are fully recyclable within the manufacturing cycle, and no water is required during production. Additionally, excess heat from the process is repurposed to warm the factory during colder months, further enhancing its eco-friendly approach.
FusionWall uses only water-based glues that are non-toxic and non-allergenic. The most common are Fintex Installation Glue and Fintex Acoustic Glue. However, other types of glue can be used upon customer request.
The paint, like the glues, is water-based and non-intrusive, holding the ecological M1/CE classification. The most commonly used brands are Tikkurila, Teknos, and Fintex. Other brands can be used upon customer request.

In the Greater Helsinki area, FusionWall offers as an additional service the installation on the walls, ceilings or other elements.
For all other locations, each project is accompanied by clear and detailed fastening instructions. The product is delivered in easy-to-transport modules, featuring a simplified installation process.
The material is non-degradable and has an exceptionally long lifespan. The adhesives used are of high quality, and the paints are UV-resistant.
However, it's important to note that the material has low physical resistance. To preserve its condition, impacts with hard or sharp objects should be avoided. While some alterations can be reversed, others, such as cuts or perforations, are permanent.
Yes, it is recommended for large surface projects. Permanent gluing ensures the stability of the piece and prevents accidental dislocation of the sections.
However, for smaller pieces, such as portraits, the detachable option is preferable, as it allows for easier relocation in the future. As an alternative to gluing, double-sided adhesive tape or nails can be used.
Practically any shade. The paint is applied to the surface and can be mixed with any type of pigments. However, it is important to note that due to the dark natural color of the Konto boards and a certain level of transparency in the paint layers, the final result may be slightly different from the original intention.
Absolutely! Although the base material is Konto, the artistic language is unlimited, and introducing contrasting materials into the composition is one of the methods of expression. These materials can include wood, soft metals, ceramics, light, composite materials, but they are not limited to just these.
The acoustic properties are directly related to the thickness and porosity of the material. Compression reduces these qualities but increases the density of the respective boards. As a result, extremely intricate cuts can be made in these boards.
If a project is based on very elaborate geometry, the aesthetic value increases at the expense of acoustic properties. This aspect is analyzed for each project and communicated to the client.
Simply put, if the overall geometry is relatively smooth and large, thicker boards can be used, significantly enhancing acoustic performance.
The best way to start is by sending an email or making a phone call. Briefly describe your ideas and the space where you intend to display the final piece, and the designer will reach out to you for further details.
Since the works are highly personalized, a detailed discussion will follow to fully understand your vision, progressing naturally until the project is complete. Once the concept takes shape, a preliminary price estimate will be provided.
Bank transfers upon receipt of the invoice.
Several factors contribute to determining the final price: the total surface area, the quantity of material used across different layers, the overall length of the cuts, the number of colors, the complexity of the design, and the complexity of the installation. As a general rule, greater size, intricate designs, and higher complexity result in a higher price. The delivery fees may be applied.
If the files are vector-based, correctly drawn, and ready for use, this will impact the price. In other words, collaboration with other design specialists is possible and efficient for both parties. We accept sketches and final ideas, but this is different from the design process itself and will not affect the final price.
6–8 weeks from the client's approval of the sketch. The delivery time may be shorter if boards of the correct dimensions are already in stock or if the project has reduced complexity. For exceptional projects, the production and delivery time will be analyzed separately.
A 50% deposit is required once the client has approved the sketch. The remaining balance is payable upon receipt of the completed work. For exceptional projects, production and delivery times will be assessed separately.
All FusionWall products are bespoke and, as such, cannot be returned. However, if the final product does not match the approved design or if the quality of workmanship is unsatisfactory, the client is entitled to a full refund upon returning the item.
Further details are outlined in the contract.
